The Graduate Counselor Education Program at Missouri Baptist University is now accepting applications for full-time faculty positions in the Master’s in counseling program beginning August 2020. School Counseling applicants will be preferred. Successful candidates will teach graduate level school counseling courses. Classes are held in the evenings and offered in face-to-face and online formats. Additional responsibilities include serving on program, department, and university committees, service to the community, and scholarly activity. Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a doctorate in counseling or counselor education from a CACREP-accredited program by start of employment or must hold a related doctoral degree and have at least one year of teaching experience prior to 2013. Consideration will be made for ABD candidates.
Candidates must be eligible for licensure as a mental health counselor or school counselor in Missouri.
Candidates must demonstrate a record of professional activity.
Candidates must demonstrate strength and flexibility to teach across the CACREP core, including both clinical and didactic courses. Preferred Qualifications: Teaching at the graduate level is preferred, but not required. Applicants must provide a written statement of faith in keeping with the mission of Missouri Baptist University. The statement of faith should clearly explain your view of scripture, salvation, church affiliation, and your personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It should also explain how faith influences your personal and professional life, contributes to your interest in MBU, and prepares you to follow MBU’s vision, mission, and core values.
