About the position
Malone University seeks an Assistant Professor of Biology to join our Department of Natural Sciences which houses the rapidly growing Zoo & Wildlife Biology and Environmental Science majors in addition to the Biology major. Expertise in Microbiology, Ecology, and/or Environmental Science preferred.
About the Department
The Department of Natural Sciences consists of six full time faculty (three biologists, two chemists, and an exercise science specialist) with varying research interests. The department currently offers nine academic majors, several of which have a variety of specialty tracks.
The normal teaching load is 12 credits per semester.
Teach lectures and labs in general biology sequence and other courses based on applicant’s areas of specialization (e.g. microbiology, ecology, botany, comparative A & P).
Advise and mentor students and supervise undergraduate research.
Engage in scholarship and community service.
Serve on departmental & institutional committees.
Ph. D. in Biology or related field by August 2020
