Admissions Traveling Recruiter (Temporary)
The Admissions Office at Messiah College has openings for the positions of Admissions Traveling Recruiter.
Responsibilities: These 3-month, temporary positions will spend the majority of time traveling to college fairs and high schools from August 3 – November 6, and meeting with prospective students at events off-campus. The Recruiter will share the Messiah College story with prospective students and their families with the goal to grow a strong inquiry pool.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required and previous college admissions experience preferred.
Skills and Characteristics: Effective interpersonal skills for interaction with students, families and high school guidance personnel; excellent written and oral communication skills; strong public speaking skills; must be a self-starter and able to work without direct supervision while traveling; ability to plan travel arrangements with solo driving and hotel life; strong organizational and management skills; comfortable learning and using computer systems; ability to do data entry and commitment to accuracy; demonstrate an understanding and commitment to Messiah College’s mission statement; commitment to intercultural diversity; ability to work with and relate to both on and off-campus constituents; commitment to good financial stewardship of Messiah College’s funds; ability to develop a strong working knowledge of Messiah College’s distinctives.
