Faculty Careers - Criminal Justice, Faculty Careers - Other
Trevecca is seeking a full-time tenure-track faculty member in Criminal Justice Studies to begin in January 2020. Faculty in the department of Social and Behavioral Sciences are committed to rigorous academics, high-quality undergraduate research, and holistic education in a distinctly Christian environment. Job responsibilities include teaching a broad range of courses in criminal justice studies, student advising, and serving on university committees. The position includes the opportunity to shape the curriculum for the traditional undergraduate program and for an online degree-completion program.
The successful candidate will demonstrate teaching excellence, passion for mentoring undergraduate students, broad knowledge of criminal justice principles, experience in the criminal justice field, and a strong commitment to the mission of the university. Experience or interest in developing a vision for the traditional program, as well as creating an online degree-completion program in criminal justice for non-traditional students, is ideal. A Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a related field is preferred, but experienced candidates holding a JD or master’s degree in those fields will be considered.
