Faculty Careers - Mathematics, Faculty Careers - Other
The Eastern Nazarene College Mathematics Department is currently seeking a full-time non-tenure track faculty member with a Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline. All applicants should have a commitment to integrate faith and learning in the classroom. Prior teaching experience is preferred, and demonstration of campus and community involvement is strongly encouraged.Successful applicants will be committed Christians and active in their local church.
A teaching load of 24 credits (eight three-credit courses or the equivalent) per academic year.Examples of courses to be taught include: Developmental Mathematics, Finite Math, Statistics, Trigonometry, and Calculus.
Participation in the development and improvement of department curricula and courses.
Other responsibilities will include undergraduate advising, committee work, attendance at faculty meetings and commencement, and service to the department, college, and local community.
Other duties as assigned in accordance with the contract.
Have completed a Ph.D. or Masters in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
Experience teaching at the undergraduate level especially developmental mathematics.Applicants with other kinds of teaching experience will be considered.
Commitment to continued professional improvement.
Demonstrated interest in the use of inclusive pedagogies to foster student success and close achievement gaps.
Demonstrate an active relationship with Christ as expressed in faith and service which is in accord with the mission of Eastern Nazarene College and display a philosophy of Christian higher education consistent with the college’s Wesleyan tradition.
