Conversational English: Approximately 55 of our 132 foreign faculty teach Conversational English classes offered to Freshman and Sophomores. Every year we hire about 20 new Conversational English Faculty. If you come with a spouse, he/she may be able to teach one of these classes. Families encouraged to join our faculty! Primary School Openings: SiasU operates a Chinese Primary school. The foreign faculty teaches English and only needs to be there during the time they are teaching, and can come and go when not teaching the class. In this position, there is less in-class Chinese language support. Each year another grade level is added to the primary school. Fall 2020 there will be grades 1-8. We have five foreign faculty working in the Primary School teaching English through song, activities and playtime. Video Producer/Teacher: The Video Producer will capture expat faculty, university student, and university international student lifestyles, testimonials, and highlights through videos and photos at our university in China. Long-term Impact Training Internship Opportunity:
This optional internship will provide daily/hourly community, employment, travel, Mandarin language learning and cross-cultural immersion opportunities. Interns who have a BA Degree are eligible for employment that would cover airfare, housing, food, utilities, 6 weeks of paid holiday and a stipend of $8500-9500 USD. We are excellent at connecting people to resources and other people that will help them in their journey. Application accepted until May 1st. But, the earlier you apply the more likely you will be accepted. Long-term Impact Training (LIT) will be for three weeks in the US before leaving for China in June and/or July. This is followed up with a 10-month internship with weekly prayer meet-ups, monthly testimonial gatherings, a vision trip to pioneering regions of West China, training opportunities among Chinese emerging leaders and a final debrief session before internship completes the final month of the 2nd teaching semester.
