POSITION TITLE: President, Jerusalem University College, Jerusalem, Israel
REPORTS TO: Jerusalem University College Board of Directors
AVAILABLE: Full duties to begin Summer 2021; ideally, the new president will join the team

The president provides overall vision and leadership for Jerusalem University College (JUC), an evangelical Christian institution of higher education located on Mt. Zion, Jerusalem. The mission of Jerusalem University College is to deepen understanding of the Bible in its geographical and cultural settings and to connect students to the ancient and modern Middle East.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
An earned doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Th.D. preferred) in an appropriate discipline
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in higher education
Significant experience and/or giftedness in leadership and administration, particularly in relation to higher education
Some postsecondary biblical/theological training desirable
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide overall leadership for JUC’s campus in Jerusalem.
Oversee the academic aspects of JUC (faculty, programs).
Identify and implement initiatives to grow JUC.
Work with the Board of Directors to accomplish JUC’s Strategic Plan.
Secure JUC’s future through graduating quality students from its MA programs.
Lead JUC’s development plan.

VP for Business and Institutional Relations (North American Office)
Faculty (President to directly oversee academic programs)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Able to build relationships with local and international constituencies.
Work effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders.
Be a good Christian role model and servant leader.
Organize, manage, and complete timeline projects over multiple-year period.
Good awareness of and ability to work in Middle Eastern culture.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Foster student development.
Some basic knowledge of Hebrew and/or Arabic is desirable.
