Adjunct faculty sought who can teach one the following course in Spring 2020:
Academics 102 – In this course, students explore various skills to improve their ability to be academically successful in college. Students examine resources that the college has in place for academic support, and they identify and discern how daily decisions impact academic achievement. The course provides an environment for students to explore their personal identities and to discover what it means to be Christ-centered, successful, and positive members of Trinity’s academic community.
This course is taken by transfer students admitted to the college conditionally and students placed on academic probation. It is overseen by Trinity’s Office of Learning Services.
A master’s degree in education or a related field is required. Teaching experience preferred. Trinity seeks candidates for faculty positions who are professing Christians and committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education in the tradition of Reformed Christian higher education and be competent to demonstrate to students a mature articulation of faith and learning.
Candidates must complete the adjunct faculty application, which includes the submission of a résumé/CV, contact information for three references, and a brief statement of your faith. Successful applicants must provide copies of official transcripts from all graduate programs. Applications will be reviewed as received and will be accepted until the position is filled. Trinity Christian College is a four-year liberal arts college located in Palos Heights, Illinois, a suburb twenty miles southwest of Chicago. Since its founding in 1959, Trinity has provided its students with an excellent Christian higher education in the Reformed tradition. The College enrollment in the traditional program is about 1,100 with a vibrant residential program. We offer majors in the arts, humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences, as well as professional programs in accounting and business administration, nursing, education, computer science, pre-medicine, and pre-law. Trinity also offers master’s programs in counseling psychology and special education as well as degree completion programs in education, business, psychology, and nursing. Trinity Christian College is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association.
