Spring Arbor University is seeking an individual with teaching experience to strengthen and continue to build our undergraduate Electrical Engineering program. The position will begin in August 2020. Full-Time Tenure-Track.
The department of Engineering offers a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, with plans to expand into other disciplines in the future. The program began in Fall 2019 and will apply for ABET accreditation in 2023 after the first class graduates. This is an opportunity to be a key member of our team, shaping and building a unique engineering program. The program will emphasize a whole-person approach including a broad, liberal arts base, coupled with a strong, hands-on technical program. The selected applicant will teach a full-time (24 credit hour) load per academic year. Teaching duties primarily include engineering courses, but may also include teaching in other departments depending on the candidate’s qualifications. Qualified applicants who have expertise in bioelectrical, automotive, manufacturing or mechanical engineering are especially encouraged to apply.

Education and Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. An earned Ph.D. is preferred.
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about academic excellence and about preparing students to impact the world for Jesus Christ within the vocation of engineering.
Professional experience in the field of electrical or bio-electrical engineering is preferred, as is a record of successful college teaching experience.
