The Public Service Support Supervisor is a para-professional position providing responsible oversight of the library and the tasks relating to student supervision, Circulation, Information Desk, Reserves, and performing assigned library projects during evenings and weekends.
Part-time, 16-22 hours per week, up to 50 weeks per year.
Supervise student workers
Trouble-shoot Circulation Desk issues
Solve Printing problems with our WEPA system
Perform basic academic database research help
Aid students in basic questions about WORD, Powerpoint, Excel
Site (library) supervisor
Works Evening/Weekend Hours
Performing other tasks as assigned by the Library Director

The Public Service Support Supervisor must possess library experience and skills, and a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, and preferably a Master's Degree, and/or a combination of education and experience applicable to library work. This position is a managerial position covering Public Services areas of circulation, information assistance, and supervising student workers. The Public Service Support Supervisor serves and interacts with faculty and students directly. The position requires knowledge of library operations, and familiarity with Integrated Library Systems and Online Public Access Catalogs. This position performs basic research using the library’s electronic databases. Computer literacy is required. The Public Service Support Supervisor is required to work evenings and weekends as assigned.
