CCCU institutions are located around the world. Though they are diverse in size, scope, and mission, they are each committed to faith-integrated higher education.
This is a faculty position teaching in clinical, laboratory, and/or didactic courses working with adult students in an accelerated post-baccalaureate nursing program. Courses are delivered online with clinical experiences and skills intensives. This position will have online teaching and face-to-face teaching in clinical and skills lab. This teaching position will include a focus on health assessment, nursing fundamentals, adult medical/surgical nursing care, and additional areas as interest and specialty experience allow. Evaluation of students in clinical and skills settings, including performance exams. General faculty responsibilities include involvement in the activities of the department and university (i.e., participation in teaching teams and committees).
A master’s degree in nursing is required, and significant progress toward completion of a doctoral degree is preferred.
A clinical focus with practice in adult acute care settings is necessary.
Current Minnesota RN licensure or eligibility is required.
A minimum of 3 years clinical experience in adult medical/surgical nursing is necessary.
Clinical experience in a secondary nursing specialty is welcome; maternity or public health preferred.
Previous experience as a nurse educator in an academic setting or as a preceptor of students or new nursing employees would be an asset.
