Higher Ed Administrative Careers - Admissions/Registrar
Southwest Baptist University is seeking a full-time Graduate Admissions Counselor to create a positive environment that enables prospective students to process through the admissions funnel. With ongoing support, quality and efficient communication to help the student admit into a graduate degree program and to help the university meet its enrollment goals.
The Graduate Admissions Counselor may work in their home region (i.e. Kansas City, Springfield, or St. Louis area) but will report to the Bolivar, MO campus as required. Position will include some travel to schools, churches, college fairs, receptions, events and professional conferences.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Word, Excel, verbal and written communication, analytical, interpersonal, leadership, managerial, project management, and conflict resolution
Master’s degree from an accredited institution
Experience in admissions, sales, marketing
Experience with Ellucian Recruiter, Salesforce, Mongoose programs
Southwest Baptist University offers an excellent benefits package:
SBU will pay tuition for one SBU Class per term (graduate or undergraduate, not doctoral) for all employees staring with the term following their full-time hire date
SBU will pay tuition for full-time non-exempt employees’ dependents (spouse or children) to attend SBU and earn one degree (graduate or undergraduate, not doctoral) following the completion of one year of continuous service.

SBU pays for 100% of the employee’s health insurance for the Value Medical Pan with options to add family coverage
Employees enrolled in SBU’s Value Medical Plan will receive $500 in their Health Savings Account. This benefit is pro-rated the first year of employment.
Employees are eligible to participate in the 403(b) plan from the first day of employment and SBU matches up to 5% of the employee contributions
