The Annie Gabriel Library at California Baptist University seeks an innovative, collaborative, service-oriented librarian to teach in its Instructional Services Department in the context of a vibrant and thriving university located in beautiful Southern California. Successful candidates will be able to work as part of a team providing student-centered information literacy instruction and research assistance to the CBU community, using the most current instructional methods and technologies. The position requires working closely with faculty members in CBU’s Social Sciences programs to provide research support and training for their students, many of whom are pursuing doctoral degrees. Primary duties will include managing subject-specific research guides, assessing student learning in the library’s information literacy programs, and providing support for CBU’s Institutional Repository. An MLIS or equivalent degree from an ALA accredited institution is required. This is a full-time, 12-month, faculty position. Riverside Campus Profile
The beautiful 160-acre main campus of California Baptist University is situated in the heart of Riverside's historic Magnolia Avenue district just a short drive from popular beaches and mountain resorts. The main campus is comprised of more than 30 buildings featuring the 94,800 sq. ft. Eugene and Billie Yeager Center, separate men's and women's residence halls, multiple apartment complexes and modular housing, the 270-seat Wallace Theater, a fitness center, one of the region's largest aquatic centers, the Annie Gabriel Library, the Van Dyne Gym and the JoAnn Hawkins Music building, one of the nation's most advanced music production and recording facilities.
