Trinity Western University’s School of Nursing is currently seeking applications for a full-time tenure-track nursing faculty at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, beginning August 16, 2020. The ideal candidate must possess a MSN degree, Ph.D in Nursing preferred (may be in progress), and have teaching experience at the undergraduate level with positive student evaluations. In addition, the candidate should have registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Nurse Practitioners (or be eligible for registration), as well as have an established program of scholarship (including publications and presentations) as well as the inclusion of the scholarship of Christian integration. Lastly, candidates must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, as well as knowledge of current trends in nursing and nursing education. Other preferable qualifications include having expertise in nursing education administration, nursing leadership, and/or health policy.
The candidate will teach in our undergraduate program, with a focus on medical-surgical nursing and will be expected to contribute to program evaluation and curriculum development, maintain an active program of scholarship of teaching and learning (SOTL), and serve on School of Nursing, University and other professional committees. A nursing faculty in the TWU School of Nursing is part of a vibrant community of nurse-scholars committed to excellence in nursing education and spiritual-intellectual integration. This is an exciting period of growth, including the anticipated launch of a PhD Nursing program, and expansion of the MSN program.
