Gordon College invites applications for a full-time appointment in the Department of Psychology, beginning August 2020 for a term of 1-3 years. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
Gordon College is located on Boston’s North Shore. The Psychology Department, housed in the Ken Olsen Science Center on campus, offers outstanding colleagues—faculty who are committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service, along with motivated students who are eager to engage with their faculty colleagues. Expertise of current faculty members is focused in developmental, neuroscience, cognitive, and clinical psychology. Students are prepared for graduate work in psychology and related fields, and/or employment in social service professions, education, public policy, law, business, and a variety of other fields.
We are looking for someone with a Ph.D. degree in psychology with excellent teaching skills and appropriate research experience who will contribute to the department, the College, and the discipline. Potential courses include statistics and research methodology as well as social psychology, personality theories, and an advanced course in the applicant’s area of expertise. Faculty members are expected to maintain professional involvement that contributes to the discipline.

completed their doctorate by the time of appointment
a strong commitment to the Christian mission of the College
collaborative skills that cross departmental and disciplinary boundaries
