Roberts Wesleyan College, located in Rochester, NY, invites applications for a full-time (9-month), tenure-track Assistant Professor of Social Work position, starting in fall, 2020.
Department of Social Work:
The vision of the Department of Social Work is to lead the advancement of integrating Christian faith with social work practice, scholarship, and service locally, nationally, and internationally. Our department serves over 200 students and has 12 faculty members with 5 serving in the BSW Program and 7 serving in the MSW Program.
The faculty hired will teach full-time in both our traditional and non-traditional BSW program. The teaching load is 24 credits per academic year and will include a mix of traditional, non-traditional and future online courses. Other responsibilities include committee work in the Social Work Department and College, service to the community, advising and scholarship.
Preferred applicants will be a licensed MSW and have a completed Ph.D. in social work or a related field. Candidates will have a record of scholarship and teaching in policy and macro social work; and demonstrate a Christian faith commitment consistent with the mission of the institution. Candidates must have at least two years post-MSW social work practice experience. Candidates without a Ph.D. may be considered.
