Higher Ed Administrative Careers - Admissions/Registrar
Basic Functions and Responsibility:
Provides timely, accurate, and helpful graduation related counseling to the University’s Graduate and Degree Completion student populations. Determines individual student graduation and degree conferral eligibility in alignment with institutional requirements.
Serves as Graduation Counselor for the Graduate and Degree Completion student populations, providing timely, accurate, and helpful counseling to students who are preparing to graduate.
Provides Graduation Counseling services to all students in the absence of fellow Graduation Counselor(s).
Maintains current knowledge of University Catalog.
Maintains open lines of communication and information sharing with academic departments regarding both general degree requirements and individual student graduation plans.
Finalizes Commencement print & web program in conjunction with the department of University Communications and Marketing.
Maintains working knowledge of relevant federal regulations such as, but not limited to student visa and federal graduation reporting requirements, ensuring compliance is met in both student advising and timely degree conferring procedures.
In conjunction with fellow Graduate Graduation Counselor(s), coordinates, executes, maintains and assesses strategic University graduation messaging to student body.
Supervision Received: Reports to the Associate University Registrar
Supervision Over Others: N/A
Clear understanding of how the various functions of the Office of the Registrar contribute to and function within the broader mission of the University.

Bachelor degree required
Graduate degree preferred
Experience & Competency:
Five years of higher education curriculum, advising, and/or compliance related experience or its equivalent desired.
Five years of SIS/ERP experience desired (Ellucian: Banner strongly preferred).
Five years of Degree Audit and Degree Planning Software desired (Ellucian: DegreeWorks: DegeeAudit & Planner preferred).
