The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities seeks an Administrative Receptionist & Conference Registration Coordinator who is responsible for welcoming guests to the CCCU offices, answering and transferring calls, providing general administrative support to the office, and being a part of our Conference team, especially in the managing of event registration for our 10-15 annual conferences.
Manage the Reception area by opening and closing the office daily, answering and directing phone calls and general e-mails, tracking and managing all incoming mail and packages, greeting visitors and providing hospitality to guests
Provide registration support by tracking registrants for all CCCU conferences and events through the CCCU’s database and online system and by answering questions about conferences, solving login issues, issuing refunds, processing payments manually and sending confirmation receipts
Maintain the staff calendar, as well as manage reservations to the basement conference room
Provide hospitality support for outside groups utilizing basement conference room
Maintain petty cash and reconcile monthly
Manage the postage and shipping needs of the Council
Track all office and conference room supplies and oversee ordering and restocking of the office as necessary
Help maintain data and assist with data entry and queries on the CCCU’s database system (iMIS)
Process invoices and handle shipping for Council book orders
Complete other tasks as requested by CCCU staff and approved by the supervisor
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Persons applying for the position should:
Hold a Bachelor’s degree or have at least 5 years of office experience
Have a strong appreciation for the Christian mission and purpose of the CCCU and its BestSemester programs
Have exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Have excellent customer service and problem solving skills
Have an understanding and experience with a variety of computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office Suite
Have a good grasp and experience with databases and understand database logic (iMIS preferred)
Be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Be detail-oriented, highly organized and flexible
Have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Be proactive in seeking new ways to make office functions more cost efficient and effective
Genuinely enjoy working with and speaking to new people
Good sense of humor

Ability to work for long periods of time at the computer
Ability to lift heavy equipment (50 lbs)
