Milligan College invites applicants for full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Interactive Media and Design to teach within the College’s Area of Performing, Visual, and Communicative Arts. Anticipated starting date is Fall 2020.
Successful candidate will teach courses in interactive media practice and theory, with emphasis on visual storytelling and interface/user experience design. He/she will play a central role in the development of an interactive media curriculum within an interdisciplinary communications and visual arts program. He/she will also teach fundamental digital media courses and will be expected to cultivate and maintain a network of professional contacts. Experience in digital post-production and/or shooting, editing, and producing video news packages will be advantageous.
Candidates should hold or be within one year of completing a relevant terminal degree from an accredited institution (Ph.D. or MFA preferred); candidates with relevant master’s degree and extensive professional experience will also be considered. Candidates should demonstrate a history of academic, professional, and creative work as well as excellent teaching skills. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong Christian faith, commitment to the College Mission, and a lifestyle consistent with the College’s goals.
