Indiana Wesleyan University and the DeVoe Division of Business is seeking applications from qualified individuals to apply for the position of full-time Finance faculty. Successful candidates will show evidence of personal faith in Jesus Christ, comfort with the Wesleyan perspective, and a commitment to liberal learning as well as a fully integrated life of faith and work, embracing God’s purpose individually and collaboratively. Applicants who bring diverse ethnic, racial, and gender perspectives to their scholarship and teaching are especially encouraged to apply.
The DeVoe Division of Business is a Christ-centered academic community that provides students the opportunity for personal, professional and spiritual development in preparation for a life of service, applying sound business principles with wisdom and creativity. The vision of the DeVoe Division of Business is to prepare business professionals who are resilient and committed to meeting the needs of others in a Christ-like manner. The DeVoe mission and vision are evidenced by the interactions among the DeVoe faculty, staff and students and the relationships that are developed based on mutual respect and care.
Start date will be fall 2020.
Individuals in possession of or pursing a doctorate in Finance by August 2020.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engage in teaching, advising, and mentoring undergraduate majors on the residential Marion, Indiana campus.
According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy, all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.
Candidates with practical experience in the finance profession and teaching experience in Finance, especially upper-level courses, are preferred.
Applicants should demonstrate the ability to combine engaged teaching with scholarly endeavors.
