The Milligan College Area of Education invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position to begin Fall 2020. This position includes some summer teaching responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess experience in both instructional leadership and literacy instruction. Candidates must possess the following requirements: 1) Demonstrated excellence in teaching; 2) A minimum of five years experience as a teacher or instructional leader; 3) Experience mentoring or coaching new teachers; 4) Evidence of active engagement in professional organizations or research. Preferred applicants will hold a current teaching and instructional leader license as well as possess a high degree of familiarity with Tennessee literacy standards and the TEAM evaluation process. Experience teaching in an academic setting or supervising pre-service teachers is strongly recommended.
