North Greenville University seeks a qualified individual for a faculty position in Communication Arts/Film/Broadcast Media. Rank assignment will be commensurate with education/experience. This position includes a competitive salary and benefit package.

North Greenville University is a private, coeducational liberal arts-based university offering bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. The campus is located in Tigerville, SC. (17 miles north of Greenville, SC; 54 miles south of Ashville, NC) with additional campuses in Greer, SC. The School of Communication is a vibrant and creative community with over 100 majors in Digital Media, Broadcast Media, Media Ministry, and Communication. The department houses The Vision campus newsmagazine, Vision Online, The Vibe radio station, and VisonTV.
Candidates should have a strong background and/or professional experience related to a film and/or broadcast media. Candidates must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate the Christian faith with traditional coursework.
Ideally, this positon will teach both film and broadcast courses. General faculty responsibilities include student advising, committee assignments, and other responsibilities assigned by the Associate Dean.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in communication or related field is required. Preference will be given to applicants holding an earned terminal degree in communication or related field. ABD candidates will be considered. Effective teaching experience, evidence of scholarly potential, and a passion for teaching are also required.
Preference will be given to candidates who can teach a wide variety of communication classes, including core communication courses. Demonstrated experience in the field is preferred.
Successful candidates must be professing Christians who are active members of a local church, enthusiastically support North Greenville University’s Identity, Mission and Core Values, and articulate a Christian worldview in their work and life.
