Lee University and the Helen DeVos College of Education is currently seeking program approval from SACS-COC for the Doctor of Education in Professional Practice (Ed.D.). The success of graduate programs in the Helen DeVos College of Education, including the Ed.S., has brought the desire to add the terminal degree to the college. This traditional classroom preparation program requires highly qualified individuals for its implementation. The following position is one of three, tenure-track openings in the Helen DeVos College of Education beginning in August 2020.
Reporting to the Director of Graduate Education in the Helen DeVos College of Education, the Assistant/Associate Professor of Education Research will teach graduate courses in qualitative research, quantitative research, and guide candidates in the initial stages of dissertation preparation. This individual is expected to serve as a member of Ed.D. dissertation committees, engage in productive scholarship, and provide service to the University and profession. The position requires the terminal degree. K-12 public school experience, while not required, is preferred.
Other expectations include an articulated faith commitment consistent with Christian belief and practice, demonstrated college teaching ability, ability to develop and mentor students in research projects and dissertations, and an ability to integrate elements of the Christian faith into course materials.
