Summary: Montreat College seeks an Assistant Professor of Business. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in marketing. This is a full-time position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of marketing and other business courses based on the candidate’s education and experience. Additional responsibilities include advising students, participating on faculty committees, and other duties as described in the Faculty Handbook. There is a possibility of a leadership role in a competitive student business team.
The successful candidate will also demonstrate support for Christian liberal arts education and the specific ability to integrate faith and the discipline in a compelling, thoughtful manner.
Teaching excellence and a willingness to serve the broader college community through service and committee work are also expected.
An earned Ph.D. or D.B.A., from a regionally accredited institution (preferably with IACBE, ACBSP or AACSB accreditation as well) with a concentration in marketing or a closely related field is preferred. Teaching experience at the college level is desirable.
