Roberts Wesleyan College, located in Rochester, NY, invites applications for a full-time, 11-month Associate Vice President for Online Education, available January 1, 2020. The Associate Vice President for Online Education will provide academic leadership for the online initiatives at the College. The AVP is responsible for building a high quality, robust and growing online program, transitioning current online programs to utilize best practices in online education, and working with academic departments to develop and implement new programs that meet the needs of today’s adult students while working to ensure all programs, academic policies, and implementation processes meet institutional goals, accreditation standards, financial aid compliance, and state authorization requirements
Master’s degree in Education or related field required
Five years experience in the administration of non-traditional programs, including online programs, in a college or university and/or experience growing either a for-profit or nonprofit organization
Minimum of five years experience leading a team in administrative roles with progressively increased responsibility required
Proven track record in strategic planning and academic improvement
Demonstrated collaborative leadership style and ability to effectively work with colleagues to accomplish goals
Demonstrated ability to apply creative, innovative thinking in problem-solving
Aptitude and confidence in data-driven decision making
Demonstrated commitment to and leadership in education
Highly effective team building and conflict management skills
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated ability to integrate Christian worldview into classroom instruction
Knowledge and experience with technology, including computer desktop applications
Experience teaching in a traditional higher education setting helpful
