Trinity Christian College seeks a part-time Director of Campus Worship. This position is located in the Chaplain’s Office and is a half-time position focused on leading and supporting the worship arts at Trinity, primarily chapel.
Trinity Christian College seeks an experienced, practicing musician who will imagine, prepare, and execute engaging, student-focused worship experiences; identify, mentor, and enhance the vocational preparation of student musicians; and advance the lively and theologically integrated practice of campus-wide chapel (and occasionally other campus worship settings).
A Bachelor’s degree is required; an MA or MDiv preferred. Previous experience planning and leading worship is required.
Trinity particularly welcomes applications from candidates who have professional or personal narratives that reflect diverse perspectives, as well as those who have engagement with issues relevant for preparing students to work and live with intercultural competence and compassion.
This half-time position is focused on designing and leading the chapel worship program on campus. Identifying, training, mentoring, and leading student teams of musicians is essential. As time allows, additional responsibilities include leading the Leadership Scholarship in Worship curriculum, supporting the student worship teams for Outcry and Sunday Night Worship, other occasional events, and regular presence in the Chaplain’s Office.
About the Department:
The Chaplain’s Office is staffed by the Chaplain & Dean of Spiritual Formation, the Director of Campus Worship, and student workers. Reporting directly to the President, the office celebrates and supports the spiritual vitality of the college community through a variety of communal worship events, pastoral care, co/curricular teaching and mentoring, and student-led small group ministries.
