A full-time faculty position in Communication & Digital Media is available August 2019.
Teach courses over a two-year cycle could include: Introduction to Film Studies; Introduction to Cinema Production; Script Writing; Principles of Public Relations; Producing/Directing Cinema; and Editing & Post Production. Additional courses may include Public Relations Lab, Video Lab, Public Speaking and Multi Camera Live Production.
Advise and manage student mass media outlets.
Supervise media project/practicum program for seniors.
Advise current students and recruit prospective students.
Envision and promote program expansion and development.
Practice integration of a Christian perspective within all aspects of the discipline.
Participate in faculty committees, as needed.
Salary and rank will be determined by credentials and experience applied to an established faculty salary schedule.

All SC employees are expected to demonstrate a strong and articulate Christian faith, to model and mentor students in servant leadership and in the integration of faith into every aspect of life and learning. Specific requirements for this position include:
Doctorate preferred; M.A. considered.
Media production experience.
Working knowledge of media production software, including Adobe Creative Suite &/or additional audio & video editing software.
College teaching experience that demonstrates an understanding of the teaching/learning process.
An understanding of undergraduate college students and an ability to relate well to them.
An understanding of an interdisciplinary approach to the liberal arts, and an ability to work with faculty from diverse disciplines
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
