Houghton College, an academically rigorous Christian College of the liberal arts and sciences, which competes in the highly respected Empire 8 Conference of the NCAA D-III, is seeking applicants for the position of Head Men’s Basketball Coach. Houghton College has a strong tradition of student athletes excelling in the classroom as well as on the court. This is a full-time position with additional responsibilities to be determined based on the successful candidate’s qualifications.
Minimum of three years of demonstrated coaching ability, preferably at the collegiate level.
Strong working knowledge of the game with a demonstrated ability to recruit and develop athletes within a system of play.
Demonstrated commitment to athletics as a venue for the development of the whole person.
Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively in a team setting, and a commitment to sports ministry.
While applicants will be accepted until a new men’s basketball coach is selected, interested parties are encouraged to submit their materials by June 17, 2019. Review of application materials will begin immediately.
