A full-time faculty position in the Sterling Teacher Education Program is anticipated beginning August 2019.
Teach undergraduate courses in education.
Experience and/or willingness to teach education courses online.
Supervise teacher candidates in clinical experiences.
Advise current education students and recruit prospective students.
Record and analyze appropriate data for program improvement purposes.
Participate in faculty governance.
Salary and rank will be determined by credentials and experience applied to an established faculty salary scale and accompanying benefits.

All SC employees are expected to demonstrate a strong and articulate Christian faith, to model and mentor students in servant leadership and in the integration of faith into every aspect of life and learning. Specific requirements for this position include:
D.or Ed.D. in education preferred; a Master’s Degree in education is required.
Recent secondary teaching or administrative experience in an accredited school is required.
Computer literacy required.
Possession of current Kansas teaching license is preferred.
Knowledge of or endorsement in Special Education preferred.
Knowledge of Kansas State Department of Education/CAEP standards and accrediting procedures is preferred.
College teaching experience that demonstrates an understanding of the teaching/learning process is preferred.
Familiarity with online course instruction preferred.
An understanding of undergraduate college students and an ability to relate well to them.
An understanding of an interdisciplinary approach to the liberal arts, and an ability to work with faculty from diverse disciplines.A
