The Trinity Christian College Athletics department is seeking a Director of Athletic Communications. This is a full-time, exempt, staff position reporting to the Associate VP for Student Life and Athletics. The position is available to be filled beginning June 1; review of application materials will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
The Director of Athletic Communications is a key professional role that promotes Trinity Athletics and that is responsible for collecting and disseminating information (i.e. maintaining and sharing statistics) related to Trinity student athletes and teams. This position works closely with colleagues in athletics, marketing and communications, and alumni relations. Strong initiative, an ability to make sensitive and timely decisions, effective collaboration skills, and an ability to plan and implement multiple projects simultaneously are essential skills. Additionally, this position will need to (learn and) maintain compliance with procedures and bylaws of the CCAC, NCCAA, and NAIA (Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference, National Christian College Athletic Association, and National Association for Intercollegiate Athletics).
A completed bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, sports management and related field and 2-4 years of professional related work experience is required.
