The Division of Natural Sciences / Mathematics at Louisiana College seeks to fill a tenure-track position to begin August 1, 2019.
Description of Position
Louisiana College’s Division of Natural Sciences / Mathematics is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position to teach Mathematics. With the recent start-up of a BS in Computer Science degree program in Fall 2017, some training / expertise in Computer Science, specifically programming, would be a strong plus also.
Applicants will need to demonstrate teaching competency in Mathematics. The position also requires that the faculty member be available for advising of students and have a willingness to serve on college committees. Faculty development through scholarship activities including travel and research with undergraduates is strongly encouraged and funding is available through an endowment.

Louisiana College is a private, Baptist, coeducational college of liberal arts and sciences with selected professional programs, located in Pineville, Louisiana. The College was founded in 1906 and is governed by a Board of Trustees appointed by the Louisiana Baptist Convention. It has an enrollment of about 1,200 students and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Ph.D. in Mathematics and / or graduate training which qualifies the candidate to teach Mathematics. Background in Computer Science (qualification to teach) is a plus.
