Professor of Biblical & Theological Studies in the Bible/Theology Department This position is for a professor who will primarily teach as a faculty member of the Bible/Theology Department at Manhattan Christian College. A Ph.D. in a field of biblical or theological studies preferred. Other advanced degrees or terminal degrees in progress will be considered. Other search criteria include teaching experience (college classroom preferred) including a philosophy of education appropriate for undergraduate studies, ministerial or church-related experience, a theological approach which seeks to serve the church, and a desire to participate in a college which integrates theological and ministry training. Manhattan Christian College is an independent college affiliated with independent Christian Churches/Churches of Christ (Stone-Campbell Movement). Because of the distinctive mission of the institution, applicants with a background in/affiliated with and a commitment to the Christian Church/Churches of Christ and the ideals of the Stone-Campbell Movement are preferred. In accordance with board policy, the applicant must be a professing Christian and demonstrate faith in his/her personal life through active participation in a local church, not necessarily a Christian Church/Church of Christ, that is like-minded and supportive of the college’s statement of faith, and agrees to support the doctrinal statements recorded in Article Two of the Articles of Incorporation.
