Montreat College’s cutting-edge and visionary Cybersecurity program prepares students to solve the cybersecurity issues and concerns faced today in many corporate and government environments. Montreat College is actively engaged in developing government, industry, and educational partnerships in the field of Cybersecurity.

Summary: Montreat College seeks a highly qualified candidate to provide leadership in external relations, curriculum development, exploration of entrepreneurial opportunities for Montreat College’s cybersecurity program and to serve as a faculty member in Cybersecurity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for teaching in the traditional and online Cybersecurity programs, according to the load specified in the Faculty Handbook. The successful candidate will assist with departmental and academic projects, engage in curriculum development and modification, and contribute to the success and dynamic growth of the Cybersecurity major at Montreat College. Additionally, the chosen candidate must demonstrate teaching excellence in both the online and face-to-face classroom, supported by relevant IT/Cybersecurity industry experience and certifications.
Successful candidate will be a recognized leader in Cybersecurity who demonstrate a professional and personal commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Montreat College. The successful candidate will also demonstrate support for Christian liberal arts education and the specific ability to integrate faith and the discipline of Cybersecurity in a compelling, thoughtful manner.
Teaching excellence and a willingness to serve the broader college community through service and committee work are also expected. Preference will be given to candidates who possess publications in the field of IT/Cybersecurity with the potential for continued scholarly work.
An earned doctorate in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security, or
Cybersecurity is preferred; a master’s degree is required. Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, and SANs are a plus.
