The Strategic Partnership Specialist (SPS) is an important part to the success of an aggressive growth plan for the College of Adult and Graduate Studies (CAGS). The primary activity is to increase enrollment by generating high-quality leads through business development activities. These leads are obtained by strategic partnership efforts, including obtaining new Professional Education Partnership (PEP) and Christian Higher Education Partnership Program (CHEPP) contracts, account management for the first year of all current PEP/CHEPP contracts and all campaigns/visits for strategic partnership contract fulfillment. All generated leads are entered into the CRM and transferred to the field enrollment teams for recruitment (Enrollment Counselors and Enrollment Directors).
Duties and Responsibilities
Generate leads through business development/strategic partnership activity for CAGS Field Enrollment teams.
Document all activity in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for reporting and tracking purposes for all business development and strategic partnership outcomes.
Attend scheduled campaigns with active SP/PEP/CHEPP organizations.
Pursue and execute new SP/PEP/CHEPP accounts based on target criteria established by the Director of Strategic Partnership (DSP).
Achieve goals and metrics for lead generation and conversion rates and other criteria as determined by the VP of CAGS Enrollment.
Accountable to individual SPS role performance goals/metrics. Each fiscal year, specific goals will be given to the individual SPS for: total number of new accounts on-boarded, average/total leads generated, average/total campaigns attended, and overall conversion rate on the account.
Development of strategy with DSP for the expansion of strategic partnerships between CCU College of Adult and Graduate Studies and outside organizations (i.e. businesses, ministries, churches).
Attend national conferences and events with DSP for lead generation.
Demonstrate ability to work effectively and positively with Enrollment Counselors, Enrollment Directors, and other administrators while establishing and maintaining effective positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
Collaborate with Enrollment Counselors, the Student Success team, Service Central, Information Systems and Technology and other departments with projects or recruitment training efforts.
Demonstrate strong self-management skills, excellent strategic thinking and conceptual skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A minimum of two years of successful experience in business development, sales, or enrollment. Experience in a college or university environment, particularly a Christian school of higher education, is preferred.
Master's degree in business or a related field preferred.
Must be able to present activities and outcomes through analysis and compilation.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Exceptional knowledge of Excel, other Microsoft Office products, Salesforce, Colleague, and other related software required.
Must be able to work effectively on multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of quality.
Strong practical knowledge of sales processes and importance of follow through in order to enhance and support high performance sales expectations.
Must support enrollment directors, DSP, and CAGS VP of Enrollment in maintaining a professional team environment.
Nature of Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to walk, stand, sit, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, speak with clarity, and have appropriate vision and hearing capabilities. Requires sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and conducting phone conversations for extended periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. You may be required to work occasional irregular hours, including some nights and weekends. High level of weekly travel (ranging 75%-80%) of time locally for campaign attendance, and to each CCU CAGS location and scheduled events/business development visits throughout Colorado (such as Loveland, Sterling, Lakewood, Grand Junction, Denver Tech Center, Colorado Springs and Pueblo). Travel expectations are dependent on business needs and training schedule. This is a salaried position typically requiring more than 40 hours per week. Colorado Christian University expects all faculty and staff to become a part of the University community by participating in activities and events that occur on the campus throughout the year, which may occur during evenings and weekends.
