The new M.A. program in Higher Education and Student Development at Wheaton College invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning in August 2019. Ph.D. in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or equivalent by August 2019 required.
The successful candidate should have a solid biblical and theological orientation, relevant higher education experience, and a demonstrated excellence in classroom teaching. The candidate should also possess the administrative and organizational skills necessary to lead this new program.
Preference will be given to candidates with proven ability to teach and conduct research in one or more of the following higher education fields: foundations, research methods, cultural issues/diversity, leadership, legal issues, faith integration, and conflict/mediation.
The person holding this position is expected to pursue research and writing in his or her field of specialty, to fulfill all responsibilities and duties of a member of the faculty, and to participate in the life of the church. Commitment to liberal arts education and to the preparation of students for higher education roles is essential. Faculty members must concur annually with the school’s evangelical statement of faith and community covenant.
