This is a live-in position working 40 hours a week from August 1 -May 31.
Priority deadline for reviewing application is February 20.
Assist with community and student development; supervise a campus residence facility and work with student staff to create a robust living and learning environment for undergraduate students.
Supervises student staff of Resident Assistants (including hiring, job training, and team development).
Manages student care in residence hall (including emergency responses, advising students, and administrative follow-up).
Fosters an educational learning community through social events, educational programs, and presence in the residence hall. Creates a safe living environment for students.
Performs administrative responsibilities for the residence hall including management of a budget and organization of housing details.
Meets regularly with a supervising Assistant Dean for Residence Life and other members of the Residence Life team. Participates in committee work as assigned.
Demonstrated leadership and maturity.
Strong communication and human relation skills.
Organizational ability is required.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience working with college aged students and knowledge of a college campus environment is required. Direct experience in campus residence life is preferred.
Requires a baccalaureate degree. A master’s degree is preferred in the areas of student development, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
.83 FTE, 10 month position.
