Friends University invites applications for a full-time faculty member to serve as Director of Master of Health Care Leadership (MHCL) program beginning in Fall 2019. This position is a tenure-track, nine-month faculty appointment at the rank of assistant professor and reports to the Chair of the Division of Business and Information Technology. The ideal candidate will hold a doctoral degree in business or a related field, although applicants who hold a Master’s degree and have significant academic and/or professional experience will also be considered. The successful applicant will teach health care leadership-related courses and provide administrative oversight for the MHCL program.

HLCL 522 - Quality Management in Health Care Organizations
HLCL 605 - Contemporary Issues in Aging Services
HLCL 604 - Strategic Planning and Performance Analytics in Healthcare
HLCL 609 - Physician Practice and Joint Venture Management
HLCL 690 - Managing Complex Healthcare Systems
Additional duties include:
Recruiting students for the MHCL program
Budgetary oversight of the MHCL program
Administrative oversight of MHCL program (includes 25% course release)
Business and community outreach to ensure program viability
Membership on academic committees as assigned
Adjunct instructor recruitment and training
Assessment and accreditation oversight for MHCL program
Other duties as assigned
The successful candidate will hold, at a minimum, a Master’s degree in business or a closely related field and will have significant academic and/or professional experience.
The university prefers to hire a candidate who holds a doctoral degree in business or a closely related field.
Rank and salary are commensurate with education and experience.
