Sattler College is hiring a permanent Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who can also serve as a professor or adjunct professor of business. The CFO will have a responsibility to achieve the College’s fiscal mission of a low cost, high-quality education. This position would also help lead the business major, especially in the realm of accounting.
The CFO oversees and enhances the financial management of the college, which includes: resource allocation, financial strategy, capital plans, cash flow optimization, and financial information systems. The CFO’s business responsibilities encompass budgets, accounting systems, the audit, tax filing, and accounting oversight of financial assets. These activities require that the CFO have a central role with staff in allocating resources. These areas include administrative services, human resources, information technology, and facilities management. The CFO is also a key advisor to the President on financial and non-financial strategic issues.
Ideally, this candidate would be teaching in the business major, particularly accounting. Teaching at Sattler College consists of small, highly interactive courses that emphasize in-class comprehension and problem-solving.
The person who fills this role should have a strong background in accounting or have other related experience. The applicant must have a Master’s degree or higher, though a doctoral degree is preferred. This is a full-time role and commences in the spring of 2019.
