Administrative Careers - Information Systems/Technology
Colorado Christian University is seeking a versatile individual to join the IT team as a .NET/SQL Developer. The successful candidate will be responsible for working on large and small web and client based software applications. Projects range in scope from custom websites to custom integration with our ERP, CRM, or other third party software.
Duties and Responsibilities
Create and manage complex SQL queries, stored procedures and other database objects.
Ability to complete all phases of software development life cycle including analysis, design, functionality, testing, and support in an agile environment.
Develop, test, and document executable code according to functional and technical specifications using structured development methodologies and defined University standards. Develop design documents and specifications for custom applications and integration.
Upgrade and enhance existing software as the University’s needs change.
Maintain and troubleshoot existing processes with thorough understanding of interrelationships with other programs and processes.
Understand existing applications and troubleshoot critical issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in CIS, MIS, business analysis, or equivalent employment experience.
Experience in software development and/or database development.
Relational database experience.
Experience with API’s and RESTful web services.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, advanced T-SQL skills in complex queries, procedures, and functions.
Ability to innovate and provide functional applications with intuitive interfaces.
Ability to communicate clearly with business users, project managers, and coworkers.
Excellent time management skills.
Excited to learn new technologies.
Experience with Salesforce, Ellucian Colleague, Colleague Studio, higher education a plus.
Nature of Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to walk, stand, sit, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, speak with clarity, and have appropriate vision and hearing capabilities. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. You may be required to work occasional irregular hours, including some nights and weekends. Colorado Christian University expects all faculty and staff to become a part of the University community by participating in activities and events that occur on the campus throughout the year, which may occur during evenings and weekends.
