Regent University’s College of Arts & Sciences is seeking an experienced, energetic, and innovative leader to chair the Department of Engineering and Computer Science. This is a full-time, tenure track faculty position that will report to the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Department of Engineering and Computer Science, including the development and delivery of new computer engineering and systems engineering programs, as well as overseeing and expanding existing programs in cyber security, computer science, information systems, and digital forensics. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a vision for expanding the department’s offerings to meet market needs and expand the mission and reach of the university.
Qualifications: An earned PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an ABET (EAC) accredited institution is required. Demonstrated field experience, on-campus and online university teaching expertise, and an established record of scholarship is expected. Background in cyber security is preferred. Candidates will be expected to teach a combination of online and on-campus courses and to engage in on-going development, review, and update of curriculum.
