Belhaven University, a Christian university committed to the ministry of integrating biblical truth and learning, is searching for the ideal candidate for a full-time, tenure track position in the School of Business who has a heart for Christ Jesus and the students at our Jackson campus.
Responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in management, leadership, research, and strategic policy within the public administration program during the day, in the evening, and in online formats. Academic advising to traditional and adult learners is also expected. The successful candidate applicant also should bring exceptional administrative skills in order to carry out responsibilities as the MPA Program Director.
Earned doctorate required in a Public Administration related discipline with at least 18 graduate hours in public administration. Demonstrated ability to conduct research and supervise student research projects is also required. Full-time college level teaching experience is preferred, as well as at least 10 years executive level experience in the public sector. Ability to implement curriculum design and outcomes assessment planning is a must. Experience and/or graduate coursework in Homeland Security or Criminal Justice also highly desired. J.D. with ten years of experience in the public sector will also be considered.
