Position Summary: This position functions as part of the Athletics Department and is responsible for the oversight of the strength and conditioning for all athletes and management of the fitness center.
Instruct athletes in safe strength and conditioning in order to develop athletic potential.
Manage all aspects of the fitness center, including scheduling, supervision of staff, and liability minimization of equipment and instruction.
Design and implement an annual plan and periodization model that includes all Warner athletes.
Establish policies and procedures for athletes to facilitate the daily operation of the facility.
Select, organize and administer testing procedures in a manner that ensures the collection of valid and reliable performance charts.
Understand human physiology, anatomy and nutrition so that training programs are appropriate depending on the sport.
Recognize nutritional factors that positively impact health and performance.
Possess knowledge of performance-enhancing substances and provide preventative counseling to athletes on the negative side effects of substance use.
Oversee and monitor a strength and conditioning budget under the direction of the Athletic Director.
Other duties as needed.

Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Fitness or related required. Master's degree preferred.

High level of teamwork as the position necessitates working closely with all coaches in the athletic program.
Strong motivational skills to assist athletes in reaching full potential.
