We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual with a strong commitment to teaching excellence, scholarship, and program development. The new faculty member will serve as a member of the School of Kinesiology with responsibility for teacher education for Physical Education courses within the traditional undergraduate program. This individual will be responsible for curriculum design, assessment and evaluation of program for accreditation processes. Additional responsibilities will include advising traditional undergraduate students as well as service within the department and university.
Masters degree required, doctorate preferred with at least 18 graduate hours in Teacher Education from an accredited institution.
Three years of successful teaching experience, including face-to-face and online delivery.
Experience with CAEP accreditation.
Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment with interest in active and collaborative learning as well as instructional use of technology.
Experience in creating courses and evaluating outcomes.
Teacher certification (credentials) in PK -12 Health and Physical Education with a minimum of two years PK – 12 experience preferred.
