Roberts Wesleyan College, located in Rochester, NY, is seeking a public health professional to serve as a faculty member in our health administration and public health programs. The School of Business houses a suite of health-related programs, including B.S. and M.S. programs in Health Administration and B.S. and M.S. programs in Public Health. These four degree programs deliver a leading-edge curriculum designed to meet the needs of working professionals in time-shortened degree programs. The School of Business also offers several traditional undergraduate business majors, a degree completion program in management, and graduate degrees in leadership and marketing. Roberts Wesleyan College, located in Rochester, NY, is a co-educational, professionally oriented Christian liberal arts college affiliated with the Free Methodist Church. The combined undergraduate and graduate enrollment is 1747.
Full-time, 11-month position. Rank and salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
Teach health care administration and public health courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels in at least two of the major academic areas (management/administration/leadership; strategic planning; systems; research/epidemiology; finance/reimbursement; environmental health, social and behavioral sciences); facilitate/manage final Capstone project for graduate students; develop and revise curriculum; pursue scholarly activities including research and grant writing; serve on school and college committees; serve in a leadership position; participate as an active liaison with potential students, local/state/national health care communities and accrediting officials; and foster positive networks/relationships with local health care community.
MPH or equivalent required; Doctorate in public health or related area required. Candidates enrolled in Doctoral program will be considered. Extensive health care administration/public health experience at a senior executive level combined with established network/relationships in the local health care community desired. Higher education teaching experience preferred. Candidates must also have a Christian faith commitment consistent with the mission of Roberts Wesleyan College.
