Physical therapist or physical therapist assistant demonstrating an understanding of education and contemporary clinical practice appropriate for leadership of a PTA Program.
Minimum of a master’s degree in appropriate field, with doctorate completed by tenure review.
Hold current license to practice as a PT or PTA in any U.S. jurisdiction.
A minimum of five years, full time, post-licensure experience that includes a minimum of three years of full time clinical experience.
Didactic and/or clinical teaching experience.
Experience in administration/management.
Experience in educational theory and methodology, instructional design, student evaluation and outcome assessment, including nine academic credit hours of coursework in educational foundations (APTA’s Educational Leadership Institute qualifies for this coursework).
