REDEEMER UNIVERSITY COLLEGE invites applications for a tenure-track position (open rank) in the Department of Education beginning July 1, 2019.
The ideal applicant will have an undergraduate degree in Math, and hold a B.Ed. Degree, and a Ph.D, in the field of Education. Significant K-12 teaching experience and the ability to teach courses in Math Education and one or more other courses from our B. Ed. Program are required. Applicants with undergraduate degrees other than Math will also be considered provided they meet the immediately preceding requirement. Applicants are also required to possess knowledge of the current Ontario Ministry of Education K-12 curricula and educational policies, experience in supervising students on practicum, the ability to work as a team member, interest in educational research, and the potential to develop a fruitful research project in education.
As a liberal arts and sciences undergraduate university rooted in the Reformed tradition of Christianity, we seek candidates committed to teaching and pursuing scholarship within this framework. Interested applicants should submit a letter of application, C.V., evidence of teaching quality, a 1-2 page statement describing their faith commitment and how it relates to their academic work, and 3 letters of reference.
