MidAmerica Nazarene University, a progressive Christian university located in Olathe, Kansas, invites qualified candidates to apply for a full-time 11-month faculty position within the School of Nursing. This faculty position reports to the Department Chair, Pre-Licensure Nursing Education. This faculty member will assist with teaching and coordination within the pre-licensure nursing programs. Responsibilities include curricular/course development, classroom, laboratory, simulation, and on-line instruction, outcomes assessments, student advising, scholarship, committee involvement, and recruiting responsibilities as appropriate.

Teaching experience in an academic setting is required. Prior teaching experience in traditional classroom settings as well as hybrid, blended and/or on-line formats is preferred.
Strong computer skills and an understanding of advanced instructional technology and online education are necessary.
Applicants should demonstrate knowledge of current issues in nursing education and practice, program/course development, outcomes assessment, informatics, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a strong commitment to the Christian character and the mission of MNU.
Education and/or Experience:
Earned master’s degree in nursing. Doctorate of Philosophy in Nursing (preferred) or related field, or an earned Doctor of Nursing Practice degree;
Previous teaching experience at post-secondary levels of education preferred;
RN licensure in Kansas and Missouri (or ability to obtain).

Statement of Faith: MidAmerica Nazarene University is an intentionally Christian Community and desires that all employees in positions of leadership reflect a foundational Christian position in word, attitude and action.
