Regent University’s Robertson School of Government (RSG) is seeking a visionary candidate to serve as its next dean. RSG’s mission is to train leaders who desire to strengthen the ethical and moral foundation of Judeo-Christian principles in government, and who are called to preserve individual freedom, representative democracy, and constitutional government. RSG is part of a growing university that currently offers 129 areas of study at the associate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels and enrolls more than 10,000 students worldwide.
Fully committed to its foundational mission of Christian Leadership to Change the World, the Robertson School of Government is positioned to help the next generation of leaders to answer the call to public service. RSG offers an M.A. in Government, an M.A. in National Security Studies, and a Master of Public Administration.
This position offers a unique opportunity for a talented, entrepreneurial, and innovative leader to guide a team of highly credentialed, experienced faculty and exceptional staff to educate and mentor students in government policy and public administration. The dean will report directly to the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and will serve as the leader and chief academic administrator of the school.
RSG seeks a dynamic Christian leader with significant public policy and academic administrative experience. The candidate must have proven scholarly ability with outstanding academic credentials commensurate with a tenured appointment at the rank of professor, and must be a dedicated educator with a deep commitment to students.
Qualifications: A terminal degree in Public Administration/Policy, Government, Law, Political Science, or related field expected. Exceptional candidates with master’s degrees and extensive applicable experience will be considered. A minimum of five years of administrative experience required.
