The Department of Human Kinetics and Applied Health Science welcomes qualified applicants for a full-time Athletic Training faculty position (1 year contract).
Serve as athletic trainer for Bethel University athletic teams such as assigned by the Director of Athletic Training Services, teach courses within the Department of Human Kinetics and Applied Health Science, serve as preceptor for athletic training students in their clinical experiences. Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Training Program Director and/or HAS Department Chair.
Demonstrated effective teaching and mentoring.
Decision-making skills that apply deep academic knowledge in diverse settings, including working with a wide range of athletic teams.
Strong interpersonal skills to be demonstrated when interacting with colleagues, students, athletes, medical professionals, coaches, and others.
Record of successful teaching in higher education preferred. Experience as a preceptor in a CAATE Accredited Athletic Training Program preferred.
Minimum Masters degree in health care related discipline. BOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
Position open: Fall 2018.
Additional Salary Information: Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
