POSITION: A search is in process to secure a qualified faculty candidate for a vacant position in public health for the Fall of 2018. The appointment is for a full-time, tenure track position.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will provide leadership in advancing the School’s development of online delivery of a B.S. in public health and a B.S. in health promotion. Initial responsibilities include reviewing the proposed curriculum for health education courses and developing online content, preparing to engage in full-time online teaching. Traditional undergraduate delivery will follow the success of this online program. Major requirements include core courses in community health, program planning, health education and health promotion, epidemiology, biology, nutrition, social and global health perspectives, along with health and interdisciplinary concentration electives.
DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE & HEALTH: The School of Science, Health & Mathematics is a newly formed school and has over 200+ undergraduate students. The school houses programs in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Science Education, Pre-Nursing, Exercise Science, Mathematics, Health & Physical Education, Recreation, and Equine Studies, with 15 full-time faculty.

QUALIFICATIONS: Doctoral degree in Public Health, or a related field. ABD considered but must be in dissertation phase. The successful candidate will teach both traditional undergraduate and online courses focused on improving public health through development and implementation of evidence-based community and public health promotion and disease prevention efforts.
